Licensed Mental Health Counselor

We are looking for a Licensed Mental Health Counselor to provide mental health counseling to children and to the parents of children who are receiving services from Therapy Smarts Inc.

Qualities that fit this opportunity

• Experience: Psychotherapy: 3 years (Preferred)
• License/Certification: License to practice in North Carolina (no supervision) (Required)
• A Masters degree in Counseling Psychology Social Work or a related field.
• Licensure or certification as required by state regulations (e.g. Licensed Professional Counselor Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist).
• Strong communication and active listening skills.
• Empathy and the ability to build a therapeutic rapport with clients.
• Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse populations.
• Knowledge of various therapeutic approaches and evidence-based interventions.
• Ethical conduct and a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Being bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus!
