What Does A Successful Software Development Engineering Professional Do?

As a Software Development Engineering - Professional I, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs.

What You Will Do

Design, develop, and implement software applications to support Fiserv's business goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Perform coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance. Maintain and improve existing codebases and peer review code changes. Adapt and evolve responsibilities as required to meet project demands and align with organizational objectives.

What You Will Need To Have

3+ years of experience in software development. 1+ years of experience in Cobol or similar programming languages. 1+ years of experience working with midrange systems. 1+ years of experience in SQL databases. 1+ years of experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP services. 1+ years of experience with CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices. To be considered, you must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for any visa sponsorship, including OPT, STEM, F1, or H1b, both now and in the future. 3+ years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and / or military experience.

What Would Be Great To Have

3 years of experience in the financial services industry. 3+ years of experience with microservices architecture. 3+ years of experience with containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes. 3+ years of experience with performance tuning and optimization.

Important Information About This Role

This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experience helps you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
