End Finishing Technician (Medical Device)

Position Description (Principal Duties and Responsibilities)

A medical device manufacturer has an immediate entry-level, full-time, hourly position and is looking for a motivated, mechanically inclined individual who can learn to work with both manual and power hand tools. This role will ensure an effective and efficient surface finishing and specified product quality on implants.

• This position requires dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and patience. General mechanical aptitude and experience is desirable.
• An artistic eye and ability for 3-dimensional (freeform) sculpting are very desirable.
• Previous experience in an FDA-regulated company is desired but not required.
• The ideal job applicant will have the following skills and experience :  1) Has a good work ethic and can be part of a team2) Willing to work in a fast-paced environment requiring OT on occasion 3) Quick learner with attention to detail 4) Can use basic measurement tool (calipers, gauges 5) Aptitude for working with small parts (metal and plastic) 6) Belt grinding and deburring, working with hand die grinders and abrasive wheels 7) Polishing small parts
