FL-DOH-Macclenny-LPN - This facility operates 24 / 7. Candidate may be required to work 16 hr shift as needed

FL-DOH-Macclenny-LPN - Candidates will need to attend an full two week orientation, working Monday - Friday, 8am - 4 : 30pm

WORK ENVIORNMENT : This is a State of Florida Psychiatric Hospital which operates 24 / 7, 7 days a week. This state owned hospital has 613 beds and provides inpatient psychiatric care for clients committed to the hospital by the state or through the criminal justice system.

TYPE OF PATIENTS : The hospital accepts adults 18 and older whose needs can't be met through treatment in a community based program . The program provides evaluation, assessment, and treatment to clients who are deemed not guilty due to insanity or who are incompetent and can't proceed with criminal proceedings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

• Mustbe at least 18 years of age at time of hire.
• Musthold unencumbered licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Oneyear of nursing experience, strongly preferred.
• Mustbe CPR certified, or able to complete training.
• Mustbe able to complete full orientation at time of hire.
• Must be able to fulfill physical requirements of position including ability to liftand carry 20 lbs., remain alert while on duty, and work 16-hour shifts onoccasion.
