Basic function : The function of a laborer is to perform work as directed by the grade checker or foreman on the project. You must be comfortable using hand tools when required, completing tasks safely, accurately, and efficiently, according to the plan.

Physical demands : The laborer may spend long hours standing and / or walking. The physical demands may include lifting, pushing, pulling and / or carrying objects which may exceed 25lbs or greater. Working in hot or cold environments. Working around loud machinery and tools.

Reporting relationship : The laborer reports to the grade checker and the foreman.

• Can show up consistently on time with proper PPE (vest, boots, glasses, hard hat)
• Has a good attitude, takes direction well, and communicates schedule changes
• Brings or is willing to get basic tools : square shovel, folding ruler in tenths
