Overview

Join our dynamic team in Grand Rapids, MI, as a Production Upholsterer! We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about crafting high-quality upholstered products. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our production process, ensuring that every piece meets our standards of excellence. Responsibilities

  • Glue and Staple material on to various foamed up frmaes and other wood substates.
  • Assemble and upholster furniture frames with precision and care.

  • Upholster and assemble complete units per specifications.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and air tools including automatic staple guns.
  • Align parts and materials to meet visual standards and ensure proper assembly.
  • To read, count, and write accurately to complete all documentation.
  • Communicate product, material or process issues to Engineering.
  • Promote and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to design specifications.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and production timelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any production issues that arise.
  • Stay updated on upholstery techniques and materials to enhance product quality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in upholstery is a plus.
  • Proven experience in upholstery or a related field preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for craftsmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with upholstery tools and machinery.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as needed.
