By-Product Management Program Assistant
To assist in all areas related to identifying, implementing, and maintaining by-product management programs within the food, beverage and / or organics space.
Essential Functions
- Ensure health and safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Small amount of direct customer site management a potential.
- Working as part of a food & beverage growth engine, and supporting a PM team dedicated to the organics vertical, with no specific customer assignment.
- Approximately 20% travel throughout the US and Canada.
- New customer implementation support.
- Assist in implementation to improve waste management procedures by working with client and necessary vendors.
- Coordinate with customer production, QA, procurement, and sustainability teams as needed to integrate organic material strategies into operations.
- Lead or support end-to-end project management for organic material initiatives (e.g., upcycling, composting, anaerobic digestion).
- Liaison with external partners such as recyclers, composters, and technology vendors. Collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure data / billing accuracy.
- Research new technologies, logistical solutions and best practices for organic material recovery.
- Customer KPI impact tracking for both enterprise and episodic activities.
- Prepare monthly / annual waste activity reports.
- Review supplier and customer invoices for accuracy as assigned.
- Manage supplier approvals requiring additional follow-up.
- Direct management of specific customer programs requiring continuous monitoring.
- Enter and maintain information within Salesforce for opportunity tracking.
- Create items in database for customer baseline process.
Education Qualifications
Required : High School or EquivalentPreferred : Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Management, Service, Business Administration, or other related fieldExperience Qualifications
Required : 1+ years F&B Customer Service or Environmental Waste experience, or related field is required.Skills and Abilities
