Position Overview :
Henry Ford Jackson Hospital, a distinguished partner of Henry Ford Health System, is actively seeking a highly qualified Urologist to join our dedicated medical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible physician to contribute to a community-focused healthcare environment, providing comprehensive urologic care in a state-of-the-art facility.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide outpatient and inpatient urology services, including surgical procedures, consultations, and follow-up care.
- Participate in a balanced call rotation (1 : 4), including some weekends, to ensure patient coverage and support.
- Manage a diverse caseload, seeing approximately 22 patients daily, with two new patient consultations, and overseeing 70-80 patients through clinic assessments.
- Conduct scheduled procedures using advanced equipment, including cystoscopies, vasectomies, BCG and Gemzar instillations, uroflow and urodynamic studies, and prostate biopsies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered, high-quality care within a Level II trauma setting.
- Engage in outpatient clinic activities, hospital rounds, and surgical duties across two dedicated OR days per week.
Qualifications :
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.Board Certification in Urology or eligibility with certification expected within 6 months.Valid medical license in Michigan or ability to obtain one promptly.Current certification in ACLS and BLS.DEA license for prescribing controlled substances.Demonstrated commitment to patient care and teamwork.Preferred Attributes :
