Job Opportunity In Finance / Purchasing

Department : Finance / Purchasing

Grade : 210

Salary : $25.80 / hour

Job Duties :

  • Responsible for maintaining and documenting all public purchasing contracts and related files; works with vendors and departments to resolve performance problems and / or complaints during contract administration.
  • Tracks and maintains the County's Master Contract List, Term and Supply List, vendor lists and answer Freedom of Information Act and Sunshine Law requests; administration of contracts and bids, draft various correspondence, maintain purchasing files, etc.
  • Actively seeks new sources of vendors for the competitive bidding process, including the search and recruitment of minority, women-owned, and small businesses.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Associate's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Three to five years of purchasing and / or administrative experience in an office setting.
  • National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NGIP) certification preferred.
  • Must submit to and pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
