Oversee database administration, optimization, and performance tuning. Actively contributes to development efforts, including coding, scripting, and troubleshooting. Enforce IT policies, standards, and best practices. Partner with stakeholders to define business requirements and deliver technology solutions. Drive automation and efficiency through scripting and process improvements. Lead teams in delivering complex projects on time and within scope. Provide leadership and support during off-hour deployments, upgrades, and maintenance windows. Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to support business growth. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of 12 years of progressive, hands-on IT and web development experience, including leadership responsibilities.

Position Summary :
Reporting to the VP of IT, the Director of IT will provide strategic and operational leadership for the IT function, while actively contributing to web application development and IT operations. This position is hands-on and requires deep technical expertise in the LAMP stack with Laravel, strong database administration skills, and proven leadership experience. The individual will collaborate across divisions to deliver scalable and secure technology solutions that align with corporate objectives.
Desired Professional Skills and Experience :
- Minimum of 12 years of hands-on IT experience, with a strong background in web application development.
- Advanced expertise with the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) and Laravel.
- Strong proficiency in database design, optimization, and administration.
- Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Shell); Python experience is a plus but not required.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms is preferred but not required.
- Experience with ERP (NAV or Business Central) is preferred.
- Proven leadership and project management experience, including the ability to manage complex projects from planning through execution.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively, including providing front-line support for off-hour deployments and system maintenance.
- Strong complex problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
