JOB DESCRIPTION

• The Registered nurse is responsible for the application of the nursing process to deliver safe, complete, and high-quality care to all Pre and Post anesthesia patients
• The Registered nurse will provide diligent care to outpatient surgery patients via monitoring, assessment, intervention, and continuous reassessment. The post-anesthesia care unit nurse (PACU nurse) will provide care for post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia, including general, MAC, regional, and local.
• Communicates effectively, conscientiously and frequently with all team members to share information and independently solve problems in a positive, results oriented manner.
• Provide pre- and post-operative instructions and emotional support to patient and, at times, family.
• Maintain and apply the scientific knowledge relevant to the care requirements of the patient with consideration of age specific and developmental needs.
• Attend staff meetings, educational and safety programs.
• Demonstrate organizational skills to facilitate a smooth work flow.
• Demonstrate high quality customer service to our patients, their families, physicians and each other.
• Use effective communication techniques which adhere to common standards of courtesy

REQUIRED SKILLS

Hourly Wage Range : $50 to $65 per hour

Required Experience

Pain Diagnostic & Treatment Center complies with federal, state, and / or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce.  If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date.  If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.
