San Mateo Podiatry Group is the most established foot and ankle specialty practice in Northern California, founded in 1917. We deliver state of the art solutions for foot and ankle problems to help our clients become their best selves.We're growing, and looking for a positive, fun, articulate, and results oriented individual to join our team at the front desk.

Highlights :

Our front office and phone team members are responsible for making a great first impression on behalf of the organization, and they help patients become their best selves by delivering state of the art care.

Many of our team members have developed their careers with us, spanning decades, or advancing to nursing school, or physician assistant school.

The Front Office team is a critical part of our organization! Research shows most patients don't understand their insurance, but at the same time are eager to know their cost share and financial responsibility. Effective communication about cost share benefits the patient by promoting informed decision-making, reducing confusion, and ensuring financial clarity.

A Day In The Life : (General Responsibilities)

  • Answering telephones using our Five Star Process for scheduling
  • Building and Maintaining our clinic schedule
  • Welcoming patients who enter the office
  • Accurate data entry and patient registration
  • Explaining the basics of health insurance cost share and collecting patient balances
  • Collect and post payments, including credit card transactions
  • Track and report assigned metrics
  • Other duties as assigned, including ongoing team education and development
  • All duties and responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures

Qualifications

Required :

  • Must be a people person with a great attitude and attention to detail
  • Strong telephone, communication and time management skills
  • Education : Associates Degree, or higher
  • Experience : One (1) year ofmedical front office and / or administrative experience
  • Preferred :

  • 2-5 years ofprogressively responsible, medical front office experience
  • English / Spanish bilingual is a plus to better serve the community
  • Knowledge of MacOS, G-Suite, and VOIP Phones
  • Understanding of health insurance claims and procedures is desired
