Job Summary
The University of South Carolina Union invites applications for a 9-month, Instructor of Biology. Teaching requirements include face-to-face and distance education, potentially including evening and / or weekend classes, along with teaching dual-enrollment classes at the USC Union campus, USC Union Laurens location, and on-site at various affiliated high schools. This role will entail instructing six courses per semester (6-6 course load). A strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, as well as participation in university and community service, is expected. The selected candidate will have the responsibility of teaching introductory biology courses and any upper-level courses as needed.
Demonstrated dedication to exceptional teaching and engagement with both the campus and local community is essential. Excellent communication skills, a commitment to fostering collegial relationships, and a strong dedication to undergraduate education are required.
