Structural Steel Estimator

Steel Service is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Structural Steel Estimator to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities :

• Review project drawings, specifications, and scope of work to develop accurate cost estimates for structural steel components.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and constraints.
• Prepare detailed bid proposals, including material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Analyze supplier and subcontractor quotes to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.
• Monitor and update estimates throughout the project lifecycle to reflect changes and new information.
• Assist in the preparation of project budgets and schedules.
• Ensure all estimates comply with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.

Requirements :

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education : Bachelor’s Degree (four year college or technical school) Required, Field of Study : Construction Management or Related Field. Experience may be considered.

Experience : 2 plus years of experience in Related Field preferred.

Computer Skills : Experienced in Microsoft office suite and AutoCAD. Past experience with either Steel 2000 or FabSuite estimating software preferred.
