Business Systems Analyst

Summary

Far West Federal seeks an experienced Quality Assurance Lead to oversee deliverable quality, enforce technical standards, and guide verification and validation activities across workstreams supporting the Department of Defense's MC&FP mission. This role plays a critical function in ensuring compliance with DoD quality frameworks and performance metrics across cybersecurity, IT, and acquisition-related tasks. This position is remote with monthly onsite support in Alexandria, VA. Long-distance travel is anticipated to be required in support of this effort.

This position is contingent on contract award.

Duties

Lead quality assurance (QA) and compliance verification efforts across multiple IT and cybersecurity support task areas.

Develop, implement, and maintain quality management frameworks aligned with ISO 9001 and DoD quality standards.

Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), deliverable tracking metrics, and corrective action plans.

Conduct document quality reviews and compliance checks for technical artifacts and contract deliverables.

Coordinate with Government stakeholders and internal project teams to resolve discrepancies and improve documentation consistency.

Support audit readiness and compliance reviews related to DoD directives and process maturity models (e.g., CMMI).

Develop and maintain QA documentation, including checklists, SOPs, and review logs for contract deliverables.

Qualifications

Mandatory

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.

6+ years of experience performing QA / assurance functions on federal or defense contracts.

Demonstrated knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality management processes.

Experience developing and maintaining performance metrics, quality plans, and compliance checklists.

Ability to conduct structured reviews and interface with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred

Certifications : ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma Green Belt, or equivalent quality certification.

Familiarity with DoD QA frameworks and CMMI models.

Experience supporting compliance-driven environments involving data privacy, cybersecurity, or acquisition.

Education

Bachelor's degree is required.

Formal quality training or certifications (e.g., ISO Lead Auditor) strongly preferred.

Transcripts or certification evidence may be required during onboarding.
