Assistant Operations Manager - OKC Airport
The Assistant Operations Manager provider is responsible for assisting in the oversight and management of daily airport operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning across various departments like ground handling, customer service, and security. This role involves coordinating operational activities, managing staff, and implementing procedures to ensure compliance with aviation regulations and safety standards. You will play a key role in problem-solving and decision-making during operational challenges, and collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including airline representatives and airport authorities. Also, you will help develop operational strategies, staff training, and process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in overseeing daily operational activities across various airport service departments
- Support the Operations Manager in coordinating and managing staff, ensuring efficient workflow
- Implement operational policies and procedures to enhance service quality and efficiency
- Contribute to the training and development of operational staff in line with company standards
- Monitor operational performance and suggest improvements to processes and techniques
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and passenger satisfaction
- Participate in the planning and execution of emergency and safety procedures
- Assist in managing budgets, including tracking expenses and forecasting needs
- Handle customer service issues, resolving them promptly and effectively
- Ensure compliance with all airport, regulatory, and legal requirements
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure proper upkeep and availability of equipment
- Analyze operational data and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Provide regular feedback to staff and assist in performance evaluations
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies in airport operations
- Participate in strategic planning to improve overall operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications :
18 years of age or olderEligible to work in the United StatesMust have a valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving recordCommunicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)3 plus years' experience in airport operations or a related field, with a background in supervisory rolesStrong understanding of airport procedures and regulatory requirementsAbility to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in operational planning and staff managementFlexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidaysKnowledge of the Aviation IndustryAbility to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads / Tablets, Computers, and Mobile DevicesEffectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic meansPass a background check and drug screenEligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)Airlines are 24 / 7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidaysTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential requirement satisfactorily.
