Role Overview :
We're looking for a Lead Power BI & AI Dashboard Developer to drive the design, architecture, and delivery of next generation analytics solutions across our clients healthcare payer ecosystem. This role blends deep technical expertise with strategic leadership — guiding teams, shaping standards, and championing the adoption of AI powered insights and modern dashboard engineering practices.
You'll serve as the primary thought leader for BI innovation, ensuring our dashboards evolve into intelligent, predictive, and highly intuitive decision support tools.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead architectural decisions for Power BI, Databricks integration, and AI driven analytics.
- Partner with business and technology leaders to align analytics solutions with organizational goals.
- Drive adoption of modern BI practices, automation, and AI enhanced insights.
Advanced Power BI Development
Architect and deliver complex, scalable, and high performance Power BI solutions.Oversee semantic model design, DAX optimization, and enterprise data modeling.Establish governance frameworks, workspace strategies, and performance best practices.Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, PHI handling, auditability).AI & Intelligent Analytics Integration
Lead the integration of AI capabilities into dashboards, including :Prior expertise in implementing Copilot and other natural language interfaces for PBI dashboards.Identify BI reports / processes that can be automated or replaced with GenAI-driven mechanisms (NLQ tools, conversational analytics, automated insights, etc.).Prior experience in using DAX formula generation, decomposition trees, anomaly detection and smart narratives.Experience in using Azure OpenAI powered summarization and user assist featuresExperience measuring value or ROI from introducing GenAI into traditional analytics workflows, such as :faster report development and iteration cyclesreduced maintenance effort or rationalization of large reporting estatesimproved data accuracy / consistency for complex KPI calculationsexpanded selfservice access to insights through NLQ or guided analyticsDatabricks & Modern Data Engineering
Expertise in suggesting optimal data models and ability to closely with data engineering to build required pipelines needed for PBI.Define best practices for integrating Databricks outputs with Power BI (DirectQuery, Delta tables, curated semantic layers) and implement the same.Healthcare Payer Domain Expertise

Evaluate and introduce modern dashboarding technologies (Streamlit, Dash, Looker, Superset).Champion the use of generative AI, conversational analytics, and automated insight generation.Lead POCs and innovation initiatives to modernize the analytics ecosystem.Stay ahead of industry trends in AI, BI, and healthcare analytics.Cross Functional Collaboration
Work closely with business, actuarial, clinical, and operations teams to translate complex requirements into intuitive dashboards.Communicate insights and architectural decisions to both technical and executive audiences.Support enterprise data governance, documentation, and quality initiatives.Required Skills & Experience

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is : $120,000 - $150,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performance period.Benefits :
