Role Overview :

Job 1 : CNC Technician, Optical Polishing

Shifts : 1st & 2nd Shift (indicate shift preference on their resume header)

Working Hours : 1st Shift is typically 6 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM.

2nd Shift is typically 2 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM.

Job Description :

Manufacture precision optics and optical components.

Read and interpret optical component drawings / specs including GD&T.

Interpret interferograms, CMM reports, and other metrology data.

Independently set up and operate polishing equipment, lathes, flycutters, and other manual / CNC machines.

Perform bi-weekly maintenance on polishing machines.

Use advanced testing equipment such as interferometers and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).

Collaborate closely with manufacturing engineering and technicians.

Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Job requires standing 80-90%, walking 10-20%, bending 20%, lifting

Required Skills :

Attention to detail and ability to follow directions.

Hands-on mechanical skills : disassembling / reassembling components, diagnosing issues.

Strong geometry and trigonometry skills.

Ability to work any shift, including compressed schedules.

Multi-tasking skills to run multiple machines in a cell.

Dexterity to handle delicate optical components.

Desired Skills :

Two-year technical degree preferred.

Experience with surface quality standards and inspection.

Machine maintenance experience.

Optical metrology experience.
