Hiring range : $22.99 - $25.29 hourly; $45,742 - $52,604 annually Open until filled GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES : Performs difficult skilled work in maintaining signs, traffic markings, and a variety of construction. Operates equipment in connection with tasks. Work is performed under minimal supervision.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS : Performing a variety of tasks in the construction, maintenance, and repair of signs, traffic markings, and a variety of construction tasks.

Typical Qualifications
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING : High School diploma or GED and moderate experience in the maintenance, repair and / or construction of streets, utilities or related facilities including some supervisory experience.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : Possession of a Class A commercial driver's license valid in the State of North Carolina. Demonstrated safe driving history.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : May be required to possess or acquire specialized certifications depending on departmental assignment including ITRE, Pesticide License, Flagger Certification within one year of hire as applicable for each Division.
Additional Information : A Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) must be obtained within one year of hire and maintained for the duration of employment. This position is subject to random substance abuse testing at any time for the duration of employment and while occupying a DOT regulated position.
