The Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction enforces statewide standards for building construction.
The Division of Plumbing is responsible for conducting plumbing inspections and permitting plumbing
installations to ensure compliance with the state plumbing code and the regulations of the department. We are
seeking a Plumbing Inspector I to join our team!
Key Responsibilities :
Inspect all plumbing installations and report violation findings.
Perform preliminary reviews of local plans concerning plumbing and sanitation.
Maintain files, reports, and permits.
Issue permits electronically and process payments.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Proficient communication skills.
Possess sufficient technical knowledge of Kentucky State Plumbing Law, Regulations and Code.
Proven abilities to management multiple projects.
Conduct effective research.
Demonstrates attention to detail.

Must have eight years experience as a journeyman or master plumber.

Must hold a valid journeyman or master plumber license in Kentucky at time of employment in this job classification. Working Conditions Travel is required to perform inspections. Work is performed in all types of weather conditions.
