Lead Math Instructor (Afternoons 2 - 7 PM, Monday - Friday)

Location : Mathnasium of Norman

Job Type : Part-time (Weekdays Only)

About Mathnasium

Mathnasium is a math-only learning center that helps students in grades Pre-K through 12 understand math by teaching the way that makes sense to them. We use the proprietary Mathnasium Method to build confidence, mastery, and a genuine love for learning.

Our team is passionate about helping students catch up, keep up, and get ahead in math all in a positive, supportive, and structured environment.

Position Summary

Were looking for an enthusiastic Lead Instructor who can guide students through math instruction while mentoring a team of instructors. This role is ideal for someone who loves math, enjoys leadership, and thrives in a fast-paced after-school environment.

This position requires consistent availability MondayFriday, 2 : 007 : 00 PM .

What Youll Do

  • Teach students using the Mathnasium Method and our proven curriculum
  • Supervise and coach instructors to ensure an effective learning environment
  • Assign students to instructors and maintain balanced studentteacher ratios
  • Review and update student learning plans and mastery checks
  • Administer and grade student assessments
  • Communicate student progress to parents using Mathnasium reports
  • Ensure smooth daily operations when the Center Director is unavailable
  • Create a positive, engaging, and productive learning atmosphere

    • Qualifications

    Required :

  • Consistent availability MondayFriday, 27 PM
  • Strong math skills through Algebra II and Geometry
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Dependable, proactive, and team-oriented

    • Preferred :

  • Experience teaching or tutoring math (middle school, high school, or college level)
  • Knowledge of higher-level math (Precalculus, Trigonometry)
  • Prior leadership or mentoring experience in an academic setting
