About the Role

Youll handle a mix of complex civil defense matters, including personal injury, premises liability, and professional liability. From day one, youll have direct client interaction, work alongside seasoned trial lawyers, and be trusted with meaningful responsibility.

This is an ideal role for an associate who wants to deepen trial and courtroom experience while working on challenging, high-exposure cases for national and Fortune 500 clients.

What Youll Do

  • Defend clients in general liability, products, and professional liability cases.
  • Draft motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
  • Take and defend depositions and appear in court regularly.
  • Work with partners to shape case strategy and manage files from start to resolution.
  • Participate in mediations and trials with opportunities to second-chair.

What Were Looking For

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active California Bar membership in good standing.
  • Minimum 3 years of civil litigation experience (general liability, products, or professional liability preferred).
  • Excellent writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active cases.
  • Trial or deposition experience a plus.

    • Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary : $160,000 $230,000 DOE + performance-based bonuses.
  • Lower billable requirements than most comparable firms.
