About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a family-owned, fast-paced manufacturing business seeking a hands-on Product Development Engineer who truly understands design for assembly and manufacturability . This role is ideal for a practical, mechanically minded engineer who enjoys being close to the build-supporting prototyping efforts, solving real-world design challenges, and seeing their ideas come to life.

You'll play a key role in developing furniture products from concept through production, working closely with prototypers, designers, and cross-functional partners. While a degree is not required, strong engineering fundamentals and real-world experience are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop furniture products from concept through final production release
• Apply design-for-manufacture and design-for-assembly principles to all product designs
• Create and maintain detailed CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• Work hands-on with prototypers to support builds, troubleshoot issues, and refine designs
• Create accurate and detailed BOMs, and work with purchasing and operations on materials and components
• Design structural components including wood frames, foam systems, and connectors
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet functional, aesthetic, and manufacturing requirements
• Support prototype testing, iteration, and continuous product improvement
• Adapt quickly to shifting priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Pay Details : $30.00 to $41.00 per hour
