Job Description :

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

• Independently sets up and maintains benches, testers, and other equipment.
• Transports, installs, upgrades, and configures complex equipment and components.
• Collaborates with individuals inside and outside of own function to troubleshoot and perform moderately complex repair work, rework, removal, and modifications to equipment as necessary.
• Sets up test equipment using hand tools or automatic test methods to perform complex tests of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.
• Guides others and documents test results, KPIs, and other outcomes, and maintains malfunction records.
• Executes manual and automated test plans and provides input on test cases and test procedures. Reproduces and debugs complex issues. Documents changes to processes or SOP.
• Tracks the purchasing, shipping / transporting, receiving and usage of inventory and equipment for test labs, field engineering, and business unit projects.

Level of Responsibility :

Works under supervision.

Decision-making affects direct area of work and / or work group

Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey basic, routine factual information.

Tasks consist of a limited number of steps and can be referenced using directions or manuals.

Top 5 Required Skills

General hardware assembly, firmware / OS flashing, and deployment of systems to test benches or racks.

Troubleshoots general system boot or connectivity issues

Deductive and inductive problem solving is required; multiple approaches may be taken / necessary to solve the problem; attention to detail is a must.

Good communication skills, written and verbal

Experienced with assembly, setup, and deployment of test systems in a R&D environment.

Basic / Fundamental understanding of electronics

Required Education :

High School Diploma, or equivalent, and 2+ years of Engineer Technician or related work experience (Work Experience should in a background that required troubleshooting, problem solving in an electrical engineering tech role)
