Summer Camp Opportunities : Assistant Camp Leaders & Camp Leaders
Calling all athletes, musicians, artists, naturalists, scientists, actors, and all others enthusiastic about working with kids in a summer camp environment! The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD) seeks team-oriented, creative individuals to create quality summer camp experiences for kids in the Beaverton area. This is a fantastic employment opportunity for individuals looking to improve their communication and leadership skills in a summer camp setting. Our summer camp staff often return year after year, with available camp directors providing mentorship to camp leaders for a successful 2024 camp season.
Job Openings :
Assistant Camp Leaders are responsible for assisting with planning and instructing general and / or specialized activities for program participants. These activities include, but are not limited to, leading group games, sports and athletics, arts & crafts, swimming, and facilitating guided group activities.
Pay Rate Range : $17.65 - $18.18 hourly
Camp Leaders and Environmental Education Instructors are responsible for planning, preparing, instructing, and / or leading general and / or specialized activities for program participants. These activities include but are not limited to leading group games, sports and athletics, arts & crafts, swimming, and facilitating guided group activities.
Pay Rate Range : $18.22 - $19.93 hourly

Requirements :
Scheduling :
We are hiring for year-round positions and seasonal positions. Part-time employees are scheduled variable hours and may work less than 1,560 hours per year. Seasonal employees may be scheduled up to 40 hours per week for a maximum duration of 6 consecutive months.
Hours are typically Monday – Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Seasonal employment will be scheduled focusing on the week of June 25 and continue through September 1.
