Reporting to our Torrance Site Operations Director, you will have a 9 / 80 schedule option and work on-site at our aerospace plant in Torrance, CA.

As the Quality Engineering Manager, you will lead the quality engineering function to ensure the highest standards of product and process quality. You'll oversee a team of quality engineers and partner closely with supply chain, receiving inspection, product engineering, and factory operations. You will develop and implement quality control systems, manage key projects, drive continuous improvement, and maintain compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory requirements.

This role involves frequent collaboration with customer quality representatives and may include interaction with Government defense contract representatives and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) representatives. Success requires excellent interpersonal skills, tact, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

To be considered for the role, here's what you'll need to bring with you :

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in quality engineering / management within manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of quality control principles, systems, and practices, including regulatory and customer compliance.
• Proficiency in statistical methods and problem solving, including DOE, SPC, and data analysis tools.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with experience building and developing high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions and with external stakeholders.
• Experience with budgets and resource planning; strong organizational and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in relevant software / tools, such as statistical analysis packages, QMS systems, and common engineering productivity tools.
• People leadership experience

Salary Range Transparency : Torrance, CA $130,000.00$180,000.00 Annually

Salary Range Disclaimer : The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location.
