Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager to join our team located in Benicia, CA. The Operations Manager is responsible for supporting / leading the safe, efficient, and cost?effective operation of the Electronics and Premium Products production facility. The Operations Manager ensures compliance with Linde internal requirements and government regulations, builds and manages a high?performance team focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

- Pay range : $76,500 - $102,000 yearly (commensurate with experience)
- Additional compensation may vary depending on the position and organizational level
What you will be doing :
Responsible for safe, quality focused and successful operation of plant processesSupervise and manage multiple department supervisors, leads, and the production staffLead, motivate and manage production personnel; oversee all production activities (physical and administrative)Responsible for overseeing the scheduling of production to ensure on?time shipment (DIFOT)Review product lead?time and cycle?time to develop goalsDrive Safety initiatives (Golden Rules, Eagle Eye, etc.)Provide technical assistance to Production Technicians and Leads; provide technical and status update information to sales, customer service and customers as requiredManage the development and improvement of production methodsParticipate in development of new production processes with Commercial Development and Engineering groupsStay current on developments related to production processes and government regulations affecting the product line and the production processInterface with Management and Commercial Team members regarding production and quality issuesManage Production Planner / Materials Manager regarding procurementManagement of Production Planning and of Raw Material inventory or those responsible as directed by Plant ManagerRecruit, select and develop talent into the organizationProvide meaningful quality metrics; prepare and present metrics to upper managementManage supplies for production departmentOversee all current production equipment including preventive maintenance, repairs and purchase of new equipmentPerform other duties as assigned by Production / Operations ManagerAdhere to all company policies, safety, and standard operating proceduresOperate fill systems when necessaryLead daily production meetingsHold daily toolbox talks on safety and qualityProvide meaningful feedback on Production Tech performance via PMP processResponsible for (or to participate in) Hazop, Synergi case investigations, customer complaint investigationsProvide Leadership to all site production personnelProactively identify risks to safety and quality; drive mitigationDrive process improvementsDrive KPI performance (Safety, On?time shipping, eCAR mitigation, GAP)Develop and execute local business strategyAssist with Hazop and RA sessionsSupport customer and ISO auditsSupport plant budgeting and planning activitiesStrongly influence Safety and Quality performanceStrongly influence Lab operations at facilityDevelop 3?5?year plan for operationDevelop proper strategy for Asset planning to prevent shortagesDevelop strong culture of personal accountability for Safety and QualityOther duties as assignedWhat makes you great :
Bachelor's Degree preferred; High school Diploma requiredMinimum 5 years of experience in Operations Management and / or Supply Chain ManagementPrevious large team management experience preferredDemonstrated commitment to Safety, Health, Environment and Quality principlesStrong record of building teams and developing direct reportsExperience controlling and monitoring plant operationsComputer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office and SAP functionality requiredKnowledge of accountingProcess systems knowledge and expertise; experience in manometric and gravimetric blending techniques, and other common methods of gas blending and filling requiredHazardous Incident Response knowledgeCoaching experienceAbility to work with all staffing levelsAbility to supervise, problem solve, schedule work assignment, and motivate production personnelLinde is a leading global industrial gases and engineering company with 2024 sales of $33 billion.
