Job Title : Laser Operator

Location : Greenville, SC

Shift : 03 : 30 PM 12 : 00 AM (Mon - Fri)

Pay rate : $19.50 / hr

Job Purpose :

  • Prints Bar Codes and at times other Black Numbers that cannot be printed on the presses.

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for printing bar codes on the paper stock of the forms.
  • Use the original copy to be sure that the bar code is placed in the proper position.
  • Maintain the lasers by following the maintenance chart for consumables and performing appropriate PM duties.
  • Maintain inventory of materials and spare parts necessary to keep laser printers operational. Submits reorder requests for consumables.
  • Assure compliance with safety and health regulations and good housekeeping practices within assigned areas, as well as compliance with all quality specifications.
  • Maintain all required documentation of work performed and ensure that all forms and materials are labeled properly.
  • Scan the bar codes every 1000 forms to ensure reading correctly.
  • Responsible for maintaining all records and for labeling the rolls that come from the laser. Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Responsible for operation of separate Piggyback label operation equipment and Piggyback label application to printed forms.
  • The list of duties and responsibilities is not exhaustive and may be substituted as necessary.

    • Work environment :

  • Temperature controlled office and manufacturing environment with large printing and related equipment.
  • Laser / Labeling Department, clean environment, materials nearby and orderly.

  • Sitting, standing, walking, stooping, bending, squatting, leaning, climbing stairs and ability to
