Your Role on the Team

Position Summary :

The Progressive Care Unit registered nurse provides direct patient care, with a 1 : 3 ratio in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, to assigned patients in the Progressive Care Unit. The registered nurse is a supportive, compassionate, efficient, detail-oriented team player with excellent interpersonal skills and who collaboratively maintains plan of care for vulnerable patients.

Required Qualifications :

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Exercise excellent observation and sound nursing judgment, excellent oral and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills with ability to coordinate care needs

Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision; excellent organizational skills

Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligation

All external Candidates must have Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Current California RN license

Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS Certification

1 year nursing experience in Definitive Observation / Step Down / Progressive Care Setting
