Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Internal Medicine (Large Nursing Home)

Location : Sunset Park, Brooklyn, NY

Job Type : Full-Time

Salary : $135,000 - $170,000 (based on experience)

About the Facility

A very large, well-established nursing home in the Sunset Park area of Brooklyn is seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join their clinical team. The facility is known for its strong leadership, supportive environment, and high standards of resident care. Position Overview

The NP will provide internal medicine care to residents within the facility, working closely with the attending physicians and the nursing leadership team. The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing chronic and acute medical conditions commonly seen in long-term care, have strong clinical judgment, and communicate well with residents, families, and staff.

This role offers stable full-time hours , a supportive clinical environment, and flexibility in scheduling.

Schedule

Full-time, with flexibility :

8 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM
9 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive internal medicine care to nursing home residents.

Perform assessments, evaluations, and follow-up visits.

Manage chronic conditions and acute issues as they arise.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary staff.

Communicate effectively with residents and families.

Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation.

Qualifications

Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) in New York.

Internal medicine, geriatric, or long-term care experience preferred.

Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
