Patient Service Representative Opportunity

FurstStaffing has a need for a Patient Service Representative to join the staff at a local clinic. The Patient Service Representative will be responsible for maintaining current patient demographics, informing clients about clinic programs and protocols, managing patient flow by scheduling and directing clients to the appropriate area or department of the clinic and ensuring proper clinic staff or departments are notified. This is a Furst-to-Hire position.

Hours: 9:30am to 6pm M-F

Pay: $15.23/hour with a.50 differential for bilingual abilities

Bilingual Patient Service Representative Responsibilities:

• Comply with established policies and procedures, objectives, HIPAA, safety and environmental standards
• Educate clients on all clinic programs and protocol
• Coordinate with medical team to ensure consistent patient flow
• Accommodate all scheduling needs using clinic standards and guidelines
• Ensure accuracy of all patient information, as well as protecting the patients rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information
• Manage and reconcile cash drawer
• Collect data for routine and publication
• Maintain office supply inventory

Bilingual Patient Service Representative Requirements:

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Understand basic math
• Show follow-through, assume responsibility and use good judgment
• Communicate effectively and diplomatically with patients, external insurance providers, and contracting entities and facility personnel
• Possess strong customer service skills
• Demonstrate punctuality and dependability
• Show ability to understand and follow verbal and written communication
• Demonstrate ethical conduct
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to solve problems
• Pleasant and professional demeanor
