Position : Caregiver SS [1217]
Program : Amarillo, Texas – Specialized Services
Salary : $15.66 / hr.
Shift available : Full-time (Monday - Friday from 8 am - 4 pm)

Essential duties and responsibilities of the Caregiver :
- Staff will maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful Trauma-Informed Care language
- The Caregiver performs direct care services for individuals attending the Day habilitation / I.S.S. program
- Provides supervision and care to clients with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
- Responsibilities of this position include feeding, toileting, transportation, escort to medical appointments and teaching social and independent living skills to verbal and non-verbal individuals
- Requires staff to also work weekends and holidays
- Responsible for attending to the needs of the persons in the home. Responsibilities include, preparing meals, feeding, toileting, transportation, medication distribution, and teaching social and independent skills.
- Works under the supervision of the Director of Specialized Services
- Complete necessary documentation within requested timelines
- Meet established productivity standards
- Has no financial responsibility but is accountable for assigned property
- Adheres to the TPC Business Code of Conduct and reports concerns if ethical and / or business standards defined in the code are compromised
Required qualifications of the Caregiver to be successful in the job :
High school diploma or GEDOne semester (12 credit hours) of accredited college work; or minimum of eighth grade reading comprehension level as evidenced by score on the Adult Basic Learning Examination (ABLE) testSome experience assisting in arts and crafts, music, education, recreation, vocational therapy, physical therapy, or occupational therapyReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functionsEmployees may be required to utilize their personal mobile phones for two-factor authentication (2FA).
