RN Unit Manager
Our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility is seeking a dedicated RN unit manager to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for a strong clinical leader who is passionate about quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and supporting a high-performing nursing team in a long-term care environment. The RN unit manager is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical operations of an assigned nursing unit, ensuring residents receive safe, effective, and compassionate care. Working closely with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary team, the RN unit manager will provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and guidance to nurses and STNAs.

Duties and Responsibilities :
As the RN unit manager , you will :
Coordinate and supervise nursing care delivery on the unit, ensuring adherence to care plans, physician orders, and facility policies.
Provide direct clinical support, mentoring, and coaching to nurses and STNAs.
Monitor residents’ conditions, respond to changes in status, and ensure timely communication with providers and families.
Lead and participate in care conferences, interdisciplinary meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
Support survey readiness and compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations.
Assist with staff scheduling, performance feedback, and corrective action as needed.
Promote a positive, team-focused culture and serve as a role model for professionalism and resident-centered care.

Schedule : Day Shift with On-Call Rotation
Skills and Qualifications :
The ideal RN unit manager will meet the following requirements :
Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the State of Ohio.
Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience required.
Prior experience as an RN unit manager or charge nurse strongly preferred.
Strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with residents, families, and staff.
Familiarity with electronic health records and regulatory requirements in long-term care.
