A Maintenance Technician with Bell, performs a wide variety of maintenance, repair, groundskeeping, and other interior and exterior maintenance duties for the community under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor. Their responsibilities may include painting, snow / ice removal, gutter cleaning, replacing filters, working with trash compactor, plumbing, light bulb replacement, A / C maintenance, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repair.

What you’ll do to make a difference :
Always show respect for residents and community staff, providing excellent customer servicePerform routine interior and exterior community maintenance, as well as equipment maintenance as scheduled and requestedRespond to all repair requests and maintenance concerns from residents and staffReport equipment malfunctions and breakdowns as well as any hazardous conditions to the Maintenance Supervisor in a timely mannerMaintain resident privacy and receive proper authority before entering resident apartmentsEnsure that all maintenance items are kept in a safe area to prevent injuriesAttend in-service training and education sessions, as assignedWork with vendors as instructed, such as landscaping, painting, asphalt, etc.Follow all safety / OSHA requirementsRegular attendance and punctualityWhat you bring to our team :
Minimum of 18 years of ageHigh School degree or equivalentUnderstanding of and alignment with Bell Core Values1-3 years of previous maintenance experience in a similar facility preferredBasic understanding and ability to repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, and mechanical systemsHVAC, EPA, and / or CPO certifications may be required in many communities, based on staffing levelsExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong customer service skillsAvailability to work weekdays, evenings, and weekendsPhysical requirements of the job :
