Security Officer - Government Patrol Rounds

As an unarmed patrol officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service and communication. At Allied Universal, you will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and integrity, making a positive impact in a caring and people-first environment.

Pay Rate : $18.36 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day

Sat 11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

Sun 11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or potential issues. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to Allied Universal management and / or site leadership.
  • Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site leadership.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues within the government facility.
  • Assist visitors and employees as needed while maintaining security-related protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
