Structural Steel Detailer

SUMMARY :

Responsible to act in accordance with the policies set forth in the Macuch Steel Employee Handbook. Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Perform essential duties and responsibilities listed below and other related duties as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Prepare shop drawings (Definition of shop drawing : drawing of each part required of the structural steel. This drawing will be used by the steel fabricator and includes, but is not limited to, member size, length, notches, position & holes diameter, welds and bolts).
• Read Structural & Architectural design drawings; use this information to create 3D model in SDS2. Draw erection plans, elevations & sections for field use.
• Draw details and sub materials for fabrication. Coordinate job requirements with project managers and subcontractors.
• Attend team coordination meetings.
• Printing
• Classify
