Accounts Receivable Specialist

This position is responsible for heavy account reconciliations, resolving customer deductions / disputes, along with collections.

Responsibilities :

  • Heavy reconciliations; deductions, discounts, and customer disputes.
  • Review and maintain a portfolio of assigned accounts and all applicable collection reports.
  • Make calls or send emails in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations.
  • Resolve client disputes in a timely manner.
  • Respond to daily emails (internal or external) in a timely manner.
  • Follow up on emails for "promise to pay" and "payment reminders" in a timely manner.
  • Have a working relationship with vendors, internal sales personnel, and customers.
  • Assist with other tasks within the accounting department as they are assigned.

Experience and Skills :

  • The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 4-5 years' heavy accounts receivable / collections.
  • Strong communication, problem solving, common sense, and analytical skills are a must.
  • Organized and attention to detail are a must.
  • Ability to communicate within all departments and management levels.
  • Ability to work well within a team and independently.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment.
  • Ability to follow written & verbal instructions.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook will test excel skills, basic functions.
  • Great Plains Microsoft Dynamics a plus.
  • NetSuite a plus.
  • Motivated and reliable.
  • Working knowledge of customer portals, a plus.
