Kpler is seeking a Intelligence Analyst to support pre-sales and capture efforts across the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC). This role is a critical member of Kpler’s DoD and IC sales pods, responsible for designing, building, and delivering mission-aligned capability briefs, demonstrations, and evaluations that translate Kpler’s data and analytics into operational value.
The successful candidate brings deep familiarity with military and intelligence requirements, experience operating in classified environments, and the ability to bridge analytic tradecraft and commercial technology. This role partners closely with Senior Client Executives, capture teams, and product leadership to move opportunities from initial engagement to contract award.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales & Mission-Aligned Capability Support
- Support DoD and IC sales pods by developing and delivering structured capability briefs aligned to specific military and intelligence missions.
- Tailor demonstrations and briefings to agency-specific requirements , operational workflows, and analytic tradecraft.
- Translate customer mission needs into clear analytic use cases supported by Kpler data and platforms.
- Participate in classified and unclassified customer engagements, ensuring credibility and mission relevance.
Demonstrations, Evaluations & Proofs of Concept
Build and execute data and product demonstrations in support of customer evaluations, pilots, and proof-of-concept efforts.Configure demonstrations to reflect real-world operational scenarios , not generic product overviews.Support customer-led evaluations in classified (TS / SCI) environments , including data preparation and analytic workflows.Collect and synthesize customer feedback to improve demonstration effectiveness and relevance.Analytic & Technical Advisory
Serve as a subject-matter expert on how Kpler’s intelligence, trade, and maritime data can support defense and intelligence missions.Advise sales and capture teams on analytic feasibility, mission alignment, and technical fit .Assist in shaping requirements, statements of work, and evaluation criteria based on customer needs.Support proposal development with technical and analytic inputs as needed.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with product, intelligence, and engineering teams to ensure pre-sales activities reflect current and planned capabilities .Act as a conduit between customer requirements and internal teams to inform roadmap and capability alignment.Support internal enablement by sharing best practices, templates, and reusable mission-specific demos.Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in a solutions analyst, sales engineering, technical analyst, or similar pre-sales role supporting DoD and / or IC customers.Active Top Secret / SCI clearance .Demonstrated experience delivering capability briefs, demonstrations, or analytic workflows to military or intelligence stakeholders.Strong understanding of defense and intelligence missions , analytic processes, and customer requirements.Experience operating in classified environments , including secure facilities and restricted networks.Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analytic and technical concepts clearly.Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience as an all-source intelligence analyst or operational intelligence professional.Background supporting GEOINT, maritime intelligence, trade intelligence, or space-related missions .Experience working with commercial data platforms in government environments.Familiarity with DoD and IC acquisition and evaluation processes.Prior military service or direct operational support to military organizations.Why Kpler
