Travel Nursing Job Details

Unit : Level II RN ICU Stepdown (Neuromusculoskeletal)

Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Contract

Start Date : January 5, 2026

End Date : April 4, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Hours per Week : 36

Shift : 3x12 hour rotating shifts (Days / Evenings / Nights), including weekends, holidays, on-call, and charge nurse responsibilities as needed

Number of Openings : 5

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2160 - $2210

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (NY RN license required)

Minimum 2 years of recent Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing experience

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – American Heart Association

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification – American Heart Association

Telemetry nursing experience required

High-acuity stroke and neurosurgery nursing experience required

Proficiency with Q1 neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains, 3%NS and cardene drips, arterial lines, carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coil / clips, DBS (Deep Brain Stimulator) insertion, VP shunts, and seizure management

ICU RN Responsibilities

Deliver evidence-based, compassionate care to patients in the ICU Stepdown unit

Conduct high-acuity neuro and neurosurgical assessments and interventions

Monitor and manage telemetry and advanced neurovascular equipment

Work rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed

Serve as charge nurse, preceptor, and participate in nursing committees

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes

Uphold service excellence and pursue ongoing professional nursing development
