Security Officer

Provide security services to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors.

Responsibilities include :

• Performing proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential / actual security threats.
• Investigating, documenting, and managing security incidents and hazards.
• Maintaining knowledge / following policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency / disaster preparedness plans.
• Facilitating planned drills and simulations.
• Training and mentoring staff on environment of care and emergency management processes and procedures.
• Providing information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote safety.
• Providing traffic and parking enforcement within the campus area and participating in foot and vehicle patrols.
• Reporting potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
• Operating vehicle in a safe and responsible manner to avoid accidents and traffic or parking violations.
