Summary :
Responsibilities :
Establish and monitor pharmacy standards of practice and success and ensures that teams and individuals have the clinical and operational information to succeed in serving our patients and customers.
Foster teamwork though recruitment and retention, performance management, and staff development, including conducting annual review to access employee ability to achieve goals and benchmarks set for them as well as assisting in the design and execution of the competency program.
Develop and implement strategic plans to improve the operations and clinical services provided by the PHIT pharmacy department.
Monitor, measure and continually improve patient care processes to ensure clinical effectiveness and quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. Establishes clinical and operational improvement priorities and sponsors improvement activities within the Penn Home Infusion Therapy pharmacy.
Develop, lead and implement multidisciplinary projects. Encourage others to meet departmental goals and standards while maintaining a high level of process and quality improvement.
Accomplish department objectives through monitoring daily workflow of pharmacists, technicians and support staff to peak department efficiency, performance and productivity.
Maintain product compounding policy and procedures to comply with current state and federal guidelines.
Manage all aspects of hazardous drug handling including training, competency, SOP, and compliance with current state and federal guidelines.
Credentials :
Pharmacist (Required)
Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy in good standing required.
Education or Equivalent Experience :
Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required)
3+ years Infusion therapy with demonstrated management skills
