Outside Sales Representative
Position Overview
Glass Doctor of Syracuse and Watertown is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Outside Sales Representative to grow our residential, commercial, and auto glass business throughout Central New York. This role focuses on building strong partnerships with insurance agents, property managers, contractors, facility managers, restoration companies, and local businesses. The right candidate thrives on meeting people, solving problems, and closing opportunities that help customers keep their homes, buildings, and vehicles safe and looking their best.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Relationship Building
- Proactively identify, target, and develop new B2B and B2C accounts.
- Maintain and grow relationships with insurance agents, apartment complexes, commercial property managers, contractors, and other referral partners.
- Conduct regular in-person visits, presentations, and follow-ups to drive consistent referrals.
Sales & Account Management
Understand customer needs and present appropriate glass solutions (auto, home, commercial, storefront, showers, custom glass, etc.).Provide accurate quotes for glass repair and replacement projects.Follow up on all leads promptly and maintain active communication with prospects.Build a strong sales pipeline and manage opportunities through CRM tools (if applicable).Brand Representation
Represent Glass Doctor of Syracuse professionally in the field and at community events.Distribute marketing materials and promote seasonal or targeted campaigns.Uphold company values and ensure an exceptional customer experience.Team Collaboration
Coordinate with the operations team to ensure accurate scheduling and smooth project execution.Communicate customer expectations clearly with technicians and office staff.Participate in weekly meetings to share updates, opportunities, and sales progress.Requirements
2+ years of outside sales experience (service industry preferred; glass / construction a plus).Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to build trust quickly and maintain long-term relationships.Self-motivated with strong organization and follow-through.Comfortable presenting, networking, and traveling locally throughout CNY.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.Basic understanding of construction or glazing is helpful but not required (training provided).Key Traits for Success
