Warehouse Cargo Handler

As a key member of our team, the full-time Warehouse Cargo Handler will report directly to the Operations Manager or Warehouse Manager. This vital position involves engaging in various warehouse activities, including loading, repacking, maintaining inventory, and ensuring optimal maintenance of the facility.

In this physically demanding role, you will be responsible for loading bulk and route trucks, requiring meticulous attention during the loading of outgoing trucks and the unloading of incoming ones. Utilizing order sheets, your primary task will be to build loads accurately, employing a forklift and an electronic pallet jack. You will ensure that all products are loaded correctly while adhering to shipper / receiver documentation and following warehouse protocols. A clean and safe work environment is essential, and you may encounter various weather conditions while performing your duties. The position involves lifting a significant volume of product cases, each weighing between 20-45 pounds, repeatedly through extended work periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Selecting and loading designated packages and products onto route trucks in an accurate and efficient manner.
• Rotating products on trucks and in the warehouse according to expiration dates to ensure freshness.
• Cleaning and repackaging products in compliance with company standards.
• Disposing of damaged or out-of-code (OOC) products after receiving approval from the Operations Manager.
• Maintaining cleanliness within the warehouse by disposing of trash every night, sweeping floors daily, and using a floor scrubber as needed.
