A well-capitalized, relationship-driven community bank is seeking an Associate Credit Analyst to join its Risk Management team. This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for an early-career professional who wants to build a strong foundation in commercial credit and underwriting.
This role provides hands-on training and direct mentorship from senior credit leadership while offering exposure to commercial, real estate, agricultural, and consumer lending.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, and credit reports
- Prepare financial spreads, ratio analysis, and cash flow models
- Develop clear, well-written credit presentations outlining strengths, risks, and mitigants
- Evaluate collateral and calculate loan-to-value ratios
- Recommend credit risk ratings in accordance with loan policy
- Partner with lenders while maintaining independent credit judgment
- Document policy exceptions and prior-to-close conditions
- Assist with annual loan reviews, portfolio monitoring, and audit support
- Participate as a non-voting member of loan committee meetings
- Support compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
