The Coordinator-Development collaborates and coordinates with the School of Dentistry Alumni Association and School of Nursing Alumni Office regarding the planning of activities for alumni and volunteer-led fundraising campaigns. Plans and coordinates fundraising, donor and alumni events for the Schools of Dentistry and Nursing under the direction of the Director of Development. Ensures comprehensive evaluation of the Schools’ Foundation accounts. Serves as liaison with the school scholarship committees and provides appropriate donor stewardship support. Works closely with the Director of Development, Director of School of Dentistry Alumni Association and Board of Directors, School of Nursing Alumni Office, Development Officers, and Annual Giving Manager to develop and implement strategic plans for the Schools’ annual giving and stewardship programs. Performs other duties as needed.

Bachelor’s degree required. One year of experience required. Experience may be considered in lieu of Degree.

Familiar with Raiser’s Edge database by searching data, pulling reports, queries, funds, etc. Able to keyboard 40 wpm. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Operate / troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Great deal of diplomacy in dealing with faculty, staff, alumni, donors, students, etc. Must possess flexibility and adaptability to a busy work environment with multiple high priority projects; Excellent command of English, written, and oral communication skills. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Must possess a high level of accuracy. Must be able to meet deadlines, develop and follow up on plans, and use discretion with confidential information. communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
