Senior Research / Development Engineer (ENG5423)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The R and D Senior Engineer is responsible for the design and / or development of new or modified products using the methods of technical research project planning / resourcing material screening experimental design (DOE) simulation and product transition to create sustainable and profitable product lines. They act as a technical liaison providing troubleshooting and technical support for projects related to the development of new products materials and designs. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. While we expect they exercise judgment within defined procedures of experiment they also must be creative. This level engineer may be an expert in some specific areas. Must be able to work collaboratively with all other types of engineers and personnel.
