[job_card.job_description]Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while maintaining professionalism at all times. Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior. Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access and / or breaches. Communicate and collaborate with law enforcement and / or emergency responders as needed, following established protocols. Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and activities during each shift. Operate and maintain assigned security-related equipment, including firearms, in accordance with company and site-specific guidelines. Remain alert and attentive to changing conditions within the government facility, adapting security-related responses as required. At least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required. At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. An armed guard card or license is required. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Access control or badge experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
