[job_card.job_description]Prepare engineering drawings for components, assemblies, and plant layouts. Check drawings Process engineering change orders / requests and complete by assigned due dates. Prepare bills of materials and process routings in MRP / ERP system. Analyze and approve designs of suppliers or subcontractors providing specific feedback as to if Analyze commercially available components and determine their suitability for incorporation Review and disposition component non-conformances. Provide technical support to other departments and customers. Provide technical support for company products throughout their life cycles. Mentor and train less experienced members of the Engineering team. Prepare and update standards and procedures. Manage job projects / orders from receipt of order to shipment including preparing Gantt charts. A four-year, Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. A candidate with a two-year (associates) degree may be considered with 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in food processing. Strong mechanical aptitude. Innovative problem solver; recognizing customer needs, defining alternatives, and selling and Strong project management, organizational, and communication (written & oral) skills. Strong presentation skills. Extensive experience with creating 3D models. Extensive experience with creating drawings Proficient with computer software such as Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
