SUMMARY OF POSITION :
The Senior Mortgage Consultant plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service. This position is primarily focused on generating significant mortgage loan volume and revenue, adhering to Pinnacle’s core values and mission while ensuring compliance with investor underwriting standards, state, and federal regulations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Deliver unparalleled service to clients and prospects via in-person meetings and phone interactions. Promptly respond to inquiries and effectively resolve client issues, aiming for all calls to be answered by a live person within three rings.Promote mortgage products that Pinnacle offers.Thoroughly pre-qualify client prospects in a timely manner.Facilitate mortgage loan applications , ensuring accurate completion and submission to our processing and underwriting teams.Keep clients informed about the application process and expected timelines, ensuring clear communication throughout.Convey required documentation and conditions to clients, setting expectations for timely responses.Stay updated on current mortgage trends, products, and regulatory policies.Ensure compliance with all company credit and mortgage lending policies and federal regulations.Analyze financial and credit data to match clients with the suitable mortgage programs and communicate final decisions effectively.Review and analyze Automated Underwriting System (AUS) findings.Request rate locks or extensions as necessary.Collaborate with the Mortgage Operations team to ensure complete and accurate loan files.Work alongside Underwriters and clients for necessary loan restructuring.Address any changes in circumstances as they arise.Regularly engage with the Mortgage Client Coordinator to manage the mortgage pipeline and closing schedules.Meet comprehensive financial needs of clients and, when suitable, refer them to other specialized services such as Trust, Investments, Insurance, and Treasury Management.Support team members to assure the delivery of exceptional service.Perform additional related duties as required.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING :
High School Diploma or Equivalent; a college degree is preferred.A minimum of 10 years’ experience in financial services, focusing on mortgage lending and production.Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration is necessary.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).Strong knowledge of federal and state banking regulations and compliance.Familiarity with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, USDA, VA, and Jumbo loan underwriting standards.Comprehensive understanding of bank products and services.SKILL REQUIREMENTS :
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Remarkable organizational skills with keen attention to detail.Strong sales acumen and negotiation proficiency.Effective interpersonal skills, including public speaking and presentation talent.Able to manage multiple priorities and stringent deadlines.Outstanding client service skills, exercising tact and diplomacy with clients and colleagues alike.This position requires the ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods, perform manual dexterity tasks, and maintain visual acuity.
