Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position working night shifts in an LDRP unit with high-risk patient care.

Responsibilities

Work in a hospital-based Labor & Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit

Patient population includes antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and high-risk maternity cases

Special procedures include antenatal testing, induction, C-section care, and management of pre-eclampsia

Unit contains 14 LDRP beds, 9 overflow beds, 2 triage beds, 2 antenatal testing bays, 2 operating rooms, 2 PACU bays, and a 9-bed Level II NICU

Typical nurse-to-patient ratios : triage 1 : 4, early labor / induction 1 : 2, active labor 1 : 1, C-section 1 : 1, postpartum 1 : 4

Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19 : 00–07 : 30)

Every other weekend and holiday coverage required

Floating may be required within the specialty and to sister units as needed

No on-call responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients before, during, and after labor and delivery including both standard and high-risk cases

Work collaboratively within an LDRP team structure and support Special Care Nursery operations

Navy blue scrubs are required

Orientation and support are provided for new staff

Requirements

Active MD or compact RN license required

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required

Current BLS and NRP certifications required

Additional certifications such as ACLS, STABLE, FHM, and AWHONN (basic / intermediate / advanced) preferred
